چکیده
A destructive earthquake (Mw 6.1) struck Pasaman, West Sumatra, Indonesia, on 25 February 2022, resulting in at least 18 deaths and damage to 1765 buildings. Our relocated foreshock, mainshock, aftershocks their source mechanisms reveal a previously unknown ∼20 km long segment of the Sumatran Fault as result dextral strike-slip motion (strike N132oE dip 72oSW) along what we have called Kajai Fault. The inverted rupture model indicates single, compact asperity with an approximate depth range 2–11 km. This extends ∼14 strike, ∼9 down-dip direction. Coulomb stress change mainshock shows that areas north south experienced increase stress, which is consistent observed aftershock pattern. nearby Great segments (Angkola Sumpur) significant without any accompanying aftershocks, likely increases risk them rupturing future.

Remotely Triggered Seismicity on the United States West Coast following the Mw 7.9 Denali Fault Earthquake
The Mw 7.9 Denali fault earthquake in central Alaska of 3 November 2002 triggered earthquakes across western North America at epicentral distances of up to at least 3660 km. We describe the spatial and temporal development of triggered activity in California and the Pacific Northwest, focusing on Mount Rainier, the Geysers geothermal field, the Long Valley caldera, and the Coso geothermal field...

We determine coseismic and the first-month postseismic deformation associated with the Sumatra–Andaman earthquake of 26 December 2004 from nearfield Global Positioning System (GPS) surveys in northwestern Sumatra and along the Nicobar-Andaman islands, continuous and campaign GPS measurements from Thailand and Malaysia, and in situ and remotely sensed observations of the vertical motion of coral...
